BELIEF STATEMENT
St. Mary Byzantine Catholic School strives to prepare our
students for lifelong learning through:
- Christian moral principles
- Social responsibilities
- Self-discipline
We strive to develop the whole student. In addition to
academics, extra-curricular programs, and service
opportunities, our philosophy calls children to grow in the
Gospel values of Jesus, through worship in the tradition of
the Byzantine Church. The school educates boys and girls to
live as loving, just, and responsible faith-filled citizens.
ACADEMICS
Our school provides a caring educational environment that
promotes learning. Our education program emphasizes the
basic skills:

We also have a state of the art computer lab plus wireless
laptops for use in the classrooms. SMARTboards allow for
interactive teaching and learning. The Internet provides for
collaborative projects. Our automated library is another
resource for these projects.
Beyond the core curriculum, many challenging special programs
are available to our students:

FACULTY
St. Mary Byzantine Catholic School teachers, religious and lay
alike, view their work as both a career and a vocation. They
recognize and nurture each child’s God-given talents and
strive to strengthen each child’s sense of worth. Of our
12-member faculty:
- 3 have advanced degrees
- 10 have more than 10 years experience
- 100 percent are state certified
Our school has a 19:1 student-teacher ratio. Our staff
includes 2 religious and 10 lay people.
