CHICAGO — The Annual Stewardship Appeal has raised just a little more than half of its $190,000 goal in pledges at its half-way mark. As of Jan. 29, the campaign raised $98,258 in pledges, which translates to 52 percent of the 2018 goal. PARMA, Ohio — More than 60 people attended the right-to-life services at Holy Spirit Parish Jan. 19, the same day the National March for Life, which was taking place in Washington. About 20 of the attendees joined Holy Spirit pastor Father James Batcha and Deacon Robert Cripps to process from the church to the Monument Dedicated to the Unborn in Holy Spirit Cemetery for a short prayer service there. The group then joined the other attendees in the church for a Moleben for the Sacredness of Life and Supplication for the Victims of Abortion, celebrated by Father Batcha. READ MORE.
WASHINGTON — Eastern Catholics were well represented at the 45th annual National March for Life in the nation’s capital Jan. 19. A small but visible contingent from the Eparchy of Parma attended, including an intergenerational group of faithful, seminarians, and Bishop Milan Lach, SJ, apostolic administrator.
