SPEND YOUR SUMMER WITH THE YOUTH MINISTRY OF THE EPARCHY OF PARMA

The ByzanTEEN Rally is back!
After two years of the COVID-19 pandemic preventing teens of the Metropolitan Church from meeting at the biannual ByzanTEEN Youth Rally, we are happy to announce that we will finally meet again this year, June 30 - July 3, 2022 in Emmitsburg, MD. We are so excited to gather at Mount St. Mary's University with the youth of the Metropolitan Church and we hope you will join our Eparchial Youth Committee and travel with us to the Rally!
WHO CAN COME?
Anyone from the age of 13 to 18. However, for those teens that reached the age of 18 during the pandemic, the Metropolitan Youth Committee has agreed to invite those that are currently 19 and 20-years-old.
IS IT TOO FAR FOR YOU TO TRAVEL? JOIN US AT THE PRE-RALLY!
Is Maryland too long a drive for you and therefore you are hesitant to join? The Eparchy of Parma will prepare a Pre-Rally event at St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Parish in Columbus, OH. For most of our parishes in the Eparchy of Parma, this parish is geographically half-way through. This Pre-Rally will take place on June 29, 2022, the evening before the official start of the national ByzanTEEN Youth Rally. We will liturgically celebrate the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, followed by an evening of icebreakers, a bonfire, movie and other fun social activities. We will camp outside on the church property, so plan to bring a sleeping bag and tent for the sleepover. The following day we will have morning prayer and a hearty breakfast in order to give us the sustenance to conquer the final six hour drive to Emmitsburg. The Pre-Rally will be a great opportunity to bring us all together as an eparchy prior to the national rally, where we will continue to strengthen our friendships throughout the entire weekend.
SPEAKING OF STRENGTH...
The motto of this year's rally is: "Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly. Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." (Isaiah 40:30-31)
WHAT IS THE COST?
The cost of the ByzanTEEN Youth Rally will be $350 per attendee with an early bird price of $325 (registration received before May 1, 2022).
SIBLINGS DISCOUNT
The Eparchy of Parma will be providing a sibling discount if two or more children are coming from a single household. So that means, only one child will pay the full rally price, with the remainder of the siblings paying $100 less per child. This material help from the eparchy will be provided only for children from our parishes/missions/outreaches and would require relaying your interest in attending to your pastor, who will then inform the Eparchial Youth Committee to release the reimbursement.
